Texas is entering its first CFP semifinal matchup in school history as the No. 3 team in the country. The Longhorns downed the likes of Alabama, Kansas, Kansas State and Oklahoma State in the Big 12 championship game to end the year.
And the Longhorns will face off against a strong Pac-12 program in No. 2 Washington. The Huskies had one of the best passing offenses in the country, led by standout QB Michael Penix. Penix led all passers with an average of 324.5 passing yards per game in 2023.
The Sugar Bowl is set to kick off at 8:45 p.m. ET from New Orleans.
