Texas and Alabama are set to play in one of the most-anticipated nonconference games of the 2022 season in Week 2 in Austin.

Recently, FOX announced it would be broadcasting that big-time showdown between the Longhorns and Crimson Tide, and fans weren’t necessarily thrilled.

Why? Well, many are concerned that FOX will air the big game as part of its “Big Noon Kickoff” programming, making the kickoff time at 11 a.m. Eastern time in Austin.

Some fans are taking matters into their own hands. A Change.org petition has been started to get FOX to make the game a nighttime kickoff.

As of Wednesday morning, the petition had 350+ signatures. Can it get enough traction to where FOX acts? We’ll find out over the next couple of months.
