Texas is expected to be missing a key lineman for the Peach Bowl clash with Arizona State.
Ahead of kickoff, ESPN’s Pete Thamel shared that Longhorns right tackle Cameron Williams is unlikely to play on Wednesday. Williams has been dealing with a right knee sprain. In Williams’ absence, Texas will turn to Trevor Goosby, per Thamel.
Three days ago, Thamel reported that Williams had been limited in practice and was likely to be a game-time decision. Williams had hoped to be able to play through the pain of his knee injury.

Williams has been a key piece on a line that has helped the Longhorns average 448.9 yards per game, good for No. 15 nationally. The Athletic included Williams in its top 15 NFL Draft prospects to watch in the CFP quarterfinals.
No. 5 seed Texas takes on 4-seed Arizona State at 1 p.m. ET in the Peach Bowl. The winner will advance to the Cotton Bowl CFP semifinal to take on the winner of Ohio State-Oregon.
