Druw Jones, the son of Atlanta Braves great Andruw Jones, is considered one of the top prospects in the upcoming MLB Draft. On Wednesday night, some fans in Decatur could be heard chanting “overrated” when Jones was at bat. Jones, sporting his dad’s No. 25, had the perfect response.

Jones announced a commitment to Vanderbilt back on July 22, 2019. In December 2021, MLB Network named Jones the top prospect of the 2022 MLB Draft. If his draft stock holds, Jones may opt to skip college and head for the minor leagues. For now, at least, he’s pledged to Tim Corbin’s program.
