Heated handshake: Jerry Stackhouse, Austin Peay assistant clash over controversial late dunk

Jerry Stackhouse is in his first season at Vanderbilt and trying to get the program turned around from losing every SEC game last season.
But in his fourth game, a 90-72 win over Austin Peay, Stackhouse found himself in a lengthy post-game discussion with Austin Peay assistant Sergio Rouco. Apparently, Rouco didn’t appreciate a late dunk from Vanderbilt since the game was already in hand.
When asked about it after the game, Stackhouse said, “I’ll coach my team and you coach yours,” according to Adam Sparks.
Rouco is a veteran coach with more than two decades experience, including stops at South Florida, Florida International, UTEP, Ole Miss and has also coached professionally in the Dominican Republic.
Saben Lee, who made the controversial dunk at the end, had 19 points off the bench for the Commodores, who added 26 from Scottie Pippen Jr., and 26 from Aaron Nesmith.
The 3-1 Commodores return to action on Friday against South Carolina State.
