The Vanderbilt Commodores landed their fifth 2019 commitment on Saturday afternoon, and interestingly, three of them are tight ends.

The latest tight end to commit to coach Derek Mason’s squad is 3-star TE Justin Ball, who is from Washington D.C.

As you can see in the tweet below, Ball announced his decision on Saturday afternoon, committing to the Commodores over 17 other schools that offered him scholarships:

The Commodores also have commitments from TEs Joel DeCoursey and Jeffrey Blake. How they plan to use their three 2019 tight ends remains to be seen.

According to the 247Sports composite, Ball is the No. 72 tight end in the class of 2019 and the No. 11 overall recruit from Washington D.C.

The Commodores now have five players in their 2019 class. Prior to Ball’s commitment, the class ranked No. 14 in the SEC and No. 82 nationally, per 247Sports.
