Vanderbilt redshirt junior center Grant Miller will transfer from the Commodores football program and play elsewhere in 2021. Miller announced the news on his Twitter account on Monday evening.

“Now that my season has concluded and I have earned my degree from Vanderbilt, I would like to announce my intention to enter the transfer portal and explore new opportunities in both my athletic and academic careers,” he wrote. “I will always consider my Commodore teammates, coaches and support staff as family. I am grateful for the opportunities I have been given at VU, thanks to Coach Mason and this staff. I am looking forward to new challenges and what the future brings!”

Miller played in all but 1 game over the past 3 seasons, starting 7 times in 2019 and getting the call in all 9 contests in 2020. The former 3-star recruit is the son of Fred Miller, a Super Bowl champion with the then-St. Louis Rams in 2000.
