The Vanderbilt Commodores will be searching for their first SEC victory in a couple of years when the 2022 season kicks off this fall.

But, coach Clark Lea continues to work hard on the recruiting trails to change Vanderbilt’s place in the SEC, and on Monday evening, the Commodores managed to snag a key commitment.

As you can see below, 3-star WR Junior Sherrill, a native of Nashville, took to Twitter to reveal he was staying home to play college football:

Per the 247Sports composite rankings, Sherrill is the No. 172 wide receiver in the class of 2023 and the No. 44 overall recruit from the state of Tennessee.

The Commodores now have 9 players in their 2023 recruiting class, which currently ranks No. 43 in the nation, per 247Sports.
