The Vanderbilt Commodores scored a commitment from 3-star tight end Ben Bresnahan Wednesday evening.

The Cumming, Georgia, native is the nation’s No. 38 overall tight end and the state’s No. 97 overall player, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Bresnahan boasted offers from Auburn, Tennessee and Kentucky, but he chose the Commodores over all three. It’s a big win for Derek Mason and his staff. He became Vanderbilt’s fifth commitment for the class of 2018 and the first tight end commit for the class.
