Vanderbilt coach Derek Mason is not happy with SEC officiating this season
Vanderbilt coach Derek Mason has not been happy with SEC officiating this season. On Saturday against Mizzou, questionable calls continued to draw the embattled coach’s ire.
In a 26-17 loss to the Tigers, the game-clinching touchdown was scored when Mizzou WR J’Mon Moore seemingly pushed off a Vanderbilt defender, but the Vandy player was called for defensive pass interference.
Even the announcers thought the call was going to be against Moore, but Mason said he’s not surprised it went against his team:
Derek Mason on PI penalty on Mizzou TD: "I'm just so tired right now, just looking at what happens in terms of calls in this league."

Though it’s hard to say that one play is the reason the Commodores lost, it was a big momentum killer for the team that entered Saturday with hopes of taking another step toward bowl eligibility.
