Vanderbilt just found out on Monday that it was losing star point guard Scotty Pippen Jr. to the 2022 NBA Draft.

But, there’s reason for optimism in Nashville, as coach Jerry Stackhouse is bringing in a strong recruiting class.

As you can see below, the Commodores scored another commitment for their 2022 class on Monday night in the form of 3-star PG Paul Lewis out of Virginia:

Per the 247Sports composite rankings, Lewis is the No. 45 point guard in the 2022 class and the No. 12 overall recruit from the state of Virginia.

Vanderbilt now has 5 players in its 2022 recruiting class, which currently ranks No. 22 in the nation and No. 4 in the SEC, per 247Sports.

Lewis also had offers from Maryland, Georgetown, East Carolina and others.
