Vanderbilt lands commitment from 2023 running back out of Texas

Vanderbilt is preparing for Year 2 under coach Clark Lea after a 2-10 campaign in 2021.
On Thursday, the Commodores picked up a win on the recruiting trails, dipping into Austin, Texas, to land commitment No. 4 of the 2023 cycle.
As you can see below, 5-10, 190-pound RB Sedrick Alexander Jr. took to Twitter to announce he was committing to Lea’s program:

Alexander has yet to be rated by the major recruiting services, but he held offers from Air Force, Campbell, Navy, Texas Southern and Texas State, per his 247Sports page.
The Commodores now have 4 players in their 2023 recruiting class, which currently ranks No. 39 in the nation and No. 9 in the SEC, per 247Sports.
