Vanderbilt named a finalist for highly sought-after basketball transfer

Vanderbilt basketball could be getting some big news soon.
College basketball insider Jeff Goodman of Stadium reports that Northeastern transfer guard Tyson Walker is down to Vanderbilt, Maryland, Michigan State, Texas, Kansas, and Miami as finalists. He will reportedly make his decision this weekend.
As a sophomore, Walker averaged 18.8 points and 4.8 assists per game last season. An all-around player, Walker was named the CAA Defensive Player of the Year. He averaged 2.2 steals per game, with a takeaway in 15 of 17 games and recording 5 steals in a game on three occasions.
