Vanderbilt WR Camron Johnson had four catches for 45 yards as a freshman through four games this fall.

However, he’s not going to get the chance to add to those totals, as he’ll be out for the rest of the 2018 season.

Johnson tweeted on Tuesday that he had surgery and that it went well, adding that he appreciates the support from Vandy fans:

Johnson showed some flashes of talent, but now fans will have to wait until 2019 to see if he can build on this start.

The good news is that Johnson only played in four games, so he can use 2018 as a redshirt season and still have four years of eligibility left when he returns next fall.
