Jay Cutler didn’t have his best outing on Monday Night Football.

He completed just 12 passes for 157 yards on top of fumbling and throwing a costly interception that helped Philadelphia pull away from Chicago for a 29-14 win. The former Vanderbilt quarterback even left the game with a right thumb injury he had sustained earlier in the night after the Eagles went up 22-7 thanks to his interception.

To make matters worse, outside linebacker Pernell McPhee had some words for Cutler after the momentum-shifting pick.

The brief exchange didn’t seem to bother Cutler.

“I’m fine with that,” Cutler told the Chicago Tribune. “He’s a passionate guy. Everyone has a lot invested into this, and he does, as well. No one likes to lose. No one likes to in that fashion. He’s upset. I’m upset. Everyone in that locker room is upset right now. But the good thing is that we have a lot of good guys in there, and we have a bunch of good coaches. And we have 14 games left.”

McPhee, who played for Mississippi State, is currently on the physically unable to perform list.
