Alabama DE Jonathan Allen added to his awards haul Wednesday.

The Ted Hendricks Award, given to the nation’s top defensive end, announced Allen as its winner on Wednesday. The Crimson Tide edge rusher also won the Bronko Nagurski Award for best defensive player on Monday.

Allen faced stiff statistic competition for the award, namely rival Tennessee’s Derek Barnett, but won easily, claiming more than 50 percent of the vote, per The Knoxville News. He recorded 56 tackles and nine sacks on the season. Barnett, part of a group of four players who split less than 25 percent of the vote, posted an SEC-leading 12 sacks and 18 tackles for loss.

Utah’s Hunter Dimick came in second place with more than 25 percent of the vote.
