The most heralded prospect in the nation’s capital will be playing at Alabama.

Terrell Hall, a 6-foot-5, 250-pound defensive end from Washington made his announcement at a news conference televised by ESPNU.

The four-star standout picked the Crimson Tide over finalists Florida State, Maryland and Ole Miss. The signing pulled Alabama closer to Florida State for the top spot in the team recruiting rankings, according to 247 Sports. Hall was regarded as a four-star recruit by at least one recruiting service and a five-star recruit in others.

“Hall has a tremendous frame and all the tools: speed off the corner, quick first step, strength, really good leverage,” said Bishop McNamara High coach Keith Goganious. “He’s a great player with a great future.”
