Arkansas sophomore cornerback Britto Tutt reportedly suffered a knee injury and could miss the entire 2016 season, Otis Kirk of Hawks247 reported after speaking with sources. The news comes days after head coach Bret Bielema announced senior cornerback D.J. Dean would miss “an extended period” due to a hamstring injury and mentioned the possibility of a medical redshirt.

With both players out, Arkansas now has five cornerbacks remaining on its depth chart: senior Jared Collins, junior Henre’ Toliver, junior Kevin Richardson, sophomore Ryan Pulley and junior Cornelius Floyd.

Tutt recorded Arkansas’ only interception in Saturday’s scrimmage. He transferred from Ventura College (Calif.) this offseason and has four years remaining of eligibility.

Update: Thursday evening, defensive back coach Paul Rhoads confirmed the news of Tutt’s injury.

“We just received the news today,” Rhoads said. “He’ll be gone all year.”
