Though Arkansas coach Bret Bielema hasn’t officially ruled out QB Austin Allen for Saturday’s game against Auburn, it’s very unlikely that the senior will be able to play.

That means Auburn’s defense will likely face redshirt freshman QB Cole Kelley on Saturday night, and the 6-7 quarterback provides a unique set of challenges.

During his radio show on Thursday night, Auburn coach Gus Malzahn described some of the things Kelley does that no other SEC quarterback can do (via AL.com):

“He actually stiff-armed a defender last week and still was able to throw the football,” Malzahn said. “(Kelley) sees over the line of scrimmage, got a very strong arm and he ran some on some broken plays and had some designed runs and he falls forward.”

The Tigers need a good performance after blowing a 20-point lead last week at LSU.

Stopping Kelley, who has proven to be a strong dual-threat quarterback in limited action this year, will be critical if the Tigers are going to have success.
