After Auburn’s devastating 27-23 loss to LSU after taking a 20-0 lead on Saturday afternoon, former Auubrn FB/TE Heath Evans took to Twitter to rip coach Gus Malzahn and plead for the Tigers’ head coaching job.

However, Evans’ sentiments are not shared by every former Auburn player, as ex-DL Nosa Eguae posted his response to Evans on Sunday evening.

As you can see below, Eguae says there is no reason for Evans to make remarks like that, even after a tough loss:

Considering Evans’ Auburn teams weren’t exactly perfect, it is a bit confusing as to why he’d rip Malzahn for a loss against a tough team.

Yes, Malzahn’s seat is getting warmer, but for Evans — who has no coaching experience — to think he can step in and lead the Tigers to the top of the SEC is foolish.

It sounds like Eguae is willing to give the benefit of the doubt to Malzahn, though that may change if Auburn struggles in the coming weeks.
