Auburn has one of the top running backs in the SEC in Kerryon Johnson, who has already scored 13 touchdowns this season.

However, Johnson was supposed to share the featured back role with Kamryn Pettway this season, but due to injuries, Pettway hasn’t been able to stay on the field.

That could change this weekend, though, as the Tigers head to Fayetteville to take on the struggling Arkansas Razorbacks.

According to 247Sports, Malzahn said on Thursday that he expects to get Pettway “a few more carries” against the Hogs.

In four games this season, Pettway has 65 carries for 215 yards and three touchdowns. How much extra work he gets on Saturday remains to be seen, but he’ll play a bigger role in the Tigers’ offense.

Auburn kicks off its game against Arkansas at 6:30 p.m. Central time and it can be seen on the SEC Network.
