Ever since Nebraska hired coach Scott Frost away from UCF, fans were waiting to see if he’d coach the Knights in the Peach Bowl against Auburn or not.

Now, we know for sure, as Frost said on Tuesday that he would indeed be back with the Knights for one last hurrah on New Year’s Day.

Frost told Omaha.com that he knows it’s a weird situation, but he wants to do right by his former players and will commit fully to the bowl game:

“There’s some unusual circumstances but we’re gonna handle this as we would any bowl game of this type,” Frost said. “Our staff is completely committed and we’re going to do everything we can for this football team.”

That’s good news for UCF fans, as Frost has a chance to lead his team to an upset of Auburn and finish the season a perfect 13-0.

Then, he’ll leave UCF with good memories and a clean conscience as he embarks on his tough job of rebuilding the Nebraska program.
