In a world where it’s becoming increasingly common for backup quarterbacks to transfer to a new school where they’ll have a chance to play, Auburn’s Sean White has remained steady in his commitment to the Tigers after Baylor transfer Jarrett Stidham was named the team’s starter on Monday.

After tweeting his support for Stidham on Monday, White was asked again about his backup role on Wednesday.

As you can see in the video below, White says he’ll do everything he can to support Stidham and continue to improve his game:

White threw for 1,679 yards and nine touchdowns in 11 games last season, so now the Tigers have a talented, experienced backup should something happen to Stidham.

That’s something not a lot of other SEC teams can say at this point.
