What the fans are saying: Last night’s reaction to Will Muschamp
By Drew Laing

It got ugly in The Swamp last night.
Real ugly.
The Florida Gators, led by head coach Will Muschamp, put out arguably their most embarassing effort during Muschamp’s tenure as a head coach — and that includes a home loss to Georgia Southern last year.

Florida suffered a 42-13 loss at the hands of the Missouri Tigers, but it looked much worse than that. Missouri jumped out to a 42-0 lead midway through the third quarter thanks to four different kinds of return touchdowns — kick return, punt return, fumble and interception.
Not only did the Gators’ losing effort virtually end their hopes of winning the SEC East this season, but the fans and some media membes officially lost faith in the Florida head coach and went to Twitter to post some very honest, and at times, funny responses to what they think about Muschamp’s future at Florida.

If we don’t #firemuschamp what do these players have to play for? Fire CWM and build for next year. Simple as that. — #FireMuschamp (@UFGatorFamily) October 19, 2014
I’ve never been so embarrassed to be a Gator fan. #FireMuschamp

Replacement? Who cares. Put an orange & blue visor on a live bear and give it a clipboard. Doesn’t matter at this point. Just #firemuschamp — BrianDBradley (@BrianDBradley) October 19, 2014

Will Muschamp is so fired. The score from Gainesville is just unreal. — Pat Forde (@YahooForde) October 19, 2014
I remember when the swamp at night was a place opposing teams didn’t want to be now it’s a W for them thanks @CoachWMuschamp — Ryan (@ClutchLikeMJ) October 19, 2014
Crazy, sad stat RT@WillBrinson Last 10 years, teams who allow 120 yards or less are 147-2. Both losses by Will Muschamp Florida teams — Scott Marsh (@smarsh_nl) October 19, 2014
Will Muschamp is gone. There’s no doubt about that. There’s also no doubt the guy can coach defense. GREAT COORDINATOR. Not so great coach. — Dan Phillips (@DanoFox17) October 19, 2014
@CoachWMuschamp great game!! Way to prepare the guys. I don’t care what anyone says, you’ve done a great job making UF below average. — Casey Smith (@caseyorama) October 19, 2014
Jeremy Foley may not have been chanting ‘Fire Muschamp’, but his silence could be just as strong of a message.
Gators AD Jeremy Foley stood in end zone near Mizzou side and didn’t say a word to coach Will Muschamp as he left field — Mark Long (@APMarkLong) October 19, 2014
Of course, this handful of tweets doesn’t represent the entire Gator Nation, but it was pretty evident from the crowd in the stadium that Florida fans are ready to move on from Muschamp.
Sooner rather than later.
