Saturday’s G-Day game at Sanford Stadium didn’t draw quite as large of a crowd as it did last year, but Georgia fans still showed up in force.

According to the school, the attendance at Saturday’s game was over 65,000 — not bad for what is basically an intra-squad scrimmage:

Perhaps it was the beautiful weather in Athens that drew so many fans to Sanford Stadium. Or, maybe it was the chance to get a look at freshman QB Jake Fromm (who hasn’t disappointed).

Maybe it was a combination of both. But, whatever the reasons, Bulldog fans once again turned in one of the more impressive crowds for any college football program for their spring game.
