The first big play in Georgia’s spring game didn’t come from sophomore QB Jacob Eason.

No, it came via highly touted freshman QB Jake Fromm’s right arm.

As you can see in the video above, Fromm launches a 42-yard touchdown to fellow true freshman WR Jeremiah Holloman, who catches the ball in stride at the 5-yard line on his way to the end zone.

Meanwhile, Eason has struggled with accuracy, overthrowing a receiver and getting picked off by DB Aaron Davis on the ensuing possession.

Granted, Eason is going against UGA’s No. 1 defense while Fromm is facing the backups, but that’s a nice pass against any defense. And, though Eason is facing tougher defenders, his accuracy hasn’t been where Bulldog fans would like it to be at this point.

It’s too early for Georgia fans to start to panic about their quarterback situation, but if Fromm keeps playing like he has through the first half of Saturday’s spring game, he could make this fall interesting.
