Georgia’s “night light” is a pretty cool — and fairly new — tradition.

It’s pretty simple. Bulldogs fans light up Sanford Stadium with their cell phones.

But when they do so, it results in a unique glowing effect.

Check it out:

The tradition seemed extra fitting on Saturday night as the Dawgs’ defense seemed to essentially turn out the lights on Mississippi State. With Georgia leading 31-3 late in the fourth quarter, it was essentially a goodnight message for the Bulldogs from Starkville.

No one really saw it coming after State handled LSU 37-7 just a week prior.

Saturday could indeed be viewed as “the night the lights went out in Georgia” for Mississippi State.
