Following his decommitment from Ohio State Tuesday, Kentucky could emerge as a favorite to land four-star quarterback Danny Clark, according to Kentucky.com.

The Wildcats extended a scholarship offer to the Akron, Ohio native during his sophomore year of high school and have remained in contact with him throughout his commitment to Ohio State, which he announced in December 2013.

Clark announced his intention to decommit in a lengthy post on Twitter Tuesday morning.

The 6-foot-4, 225-pound senior currently ranks as the No. 18 pro-style quarterback and the No. 357 overall prospect in the 2017 national recruiting class, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.

Kentucky already has a commitment from dual-threat quarterback Walker Wood, who could be moved to other positions though the Wildcats coaches have told him he will be given a chance to compete for early playing time at quarterback.
