LSU fans learned that a pair of players didn’t make the trip to Wisconsin on Friday when it was announced that junior defensive tackle Frank Herron and freshman wide receiver Dee Anderson were left off the bus.

Add another freshman to that list, as it appears cornerback Saivion Smith also stayed behind, according to The Advocate.

Smith was a mid-year enrollee and made a nice impression in the team’s spring game. The freshman was listed as the team’s No. 3 cornerback behind Kevin Toliver and Donte Jackson.

It’s another shot to the Tigers’ defensive depth, but it’s unlikely that Smith would have made much of an impact against Wisconsin.
