Ja'Marr Chase still not practicing for Cincinnati Bengals, HC comments on Week 1 status
Ja’Marr Chase fantasy owners, you may want to take notice.
The former LSU wide receiver and star Cincinnati Bengal once again missed practice on Monday, a troubling sign given Week 1’s matchup against the New England Patriots is just 6 days away. Chase has not practiced for Cincinnati the past few weeks as contract negotiations drag on.

Bengals head coach Zac Taylor was asked about Chase’s availability for Sunday’s game and took the same route he’s taken on similar questions as of late: “We’ll just take it day by day.”

Chase still has 2 seasons left on his contract and has a $1 million base salary entering this season ($4.86 million overall). Star receivers such as Justin Jefferson and Ceedee Lamb received extensions this past offseason, and it seems Chase wants to be included among the top paid receivers in the game as well.
He finished last year with 100 receptions for 1,216 yards and 7 touchdowns and is widely considered one of the best wide receivers in the league. And being only 24, Chase’s best years are very likely still in front of him.
