LSU coach Les Miles addressed the media following Saturday’s spring practice that included a scrimmage during which all units reportedly received at least 40 reps.
One of the topics was the performance of his quarterbacks, which have been talked about in the days following the announced departure of former starter Anthony Jennings.
Brandon Harris is the incumbent, having started for the Tigers in 2015. But the passing game struggled at times last season, and former Purdue QB Danny Etling has brought fresh blood to the competition for the spring.
Here’s what Miles had to say about the quarterbacks on Saturday:
Coach Miles: We are more consistent throwing the ball than we've been. We have some talented young receivers that will be fun to watch play.

Miles on Etling: "Understands what's going on, gets the ball where it needs to go." #LSU

Coach Miles: He (Brandon Harris) has more poise and comfort. I think he and Danny Etling will really give us some quality play.

#LSU coach Les Miles: Anthony Jennings, we wish him the very best. Going in a direction to benefit him.
