The Wisconsin Badgers named a starting quarterback ahead of their showdown against LSU next Saturday.

Head coach Paul Chryst named redshirt senior Bart Houston the starter in a video interview.

Houston has played in 15 games and has completed 29 of 51 passes (56.9%) for 295 yards and four touchdowns. Last season, specifically, Houston completed 27 of 47 passes (57.4%) for 281 yards and three touchdowns.

The Concord, California, native was rated a four-star prospect in the class of 2012, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

The Tigers are set to take on the Badgers September 3 at 3:30 p.m. ET.
