Missouri won its third straight game on Saturday as the Tigers notched a big victory on the road against Tennessee.

After the 50-17 win, Mizzou coach Barry Odom said he was pleasantly surprised that the Tigers built such a big lead in the second half.

“I didn’t think we’d be in a position in the third quarter to start milking the clock, but that’s the way the game happened,” Odom said during his postgame press conference.

Odom also commented on Missouri offensive coordinator Derek Dooley, who was the coach at Tennessee from 2010-12, notching a win over his former school.

“He was excited for our team to win the game,” Odom said of Dooley. “He was the first guy to tell me, ‘Let’s get back to work.'”

Odom said that Richard Floyd is “in some pain,” but he had no further update on the injured receiver. Floyd took a hit to the head during the game against the Vols.

Missouri will look for its fourth straight win when it hosts Arkansas on Friday.
