Time to start planning those holiday bowl trips!

It’s a little early four weeks out, but bowl representatives already have a ‘wishlist’ of teams set to the side depending on how some selections finish and others that may or may not fall into place.

There’s a few teams in the East — Kentucky, Tennessee and South Carolina — with minimal possible remaining destinations.

RELATED: Week 10 SEC Bowl Projections

It used to be a season-long goal to reach BCS games, but now, the College Football Playoff selection committee fills its four non-semifinal New Year’s Six bowls using its final rankings. Based on that, it’s unlikely a team from the East will grab one of those coveted 12 spots unless Georgia or Mizzou wins out.

On Thursday, we’ll look at the SEC West bowl possibilities. Here’s the East projections …

MIZZOU TIGERS (7-2, 4-1)

The defending SEC champ slid to the Cotton Bowl and beat Oklahoma State last season, an appetizing matchup for all parties involved. Should Georgia and Mizzou finish with matching records at the end of this season, bowl committees would be more apt to make their first call to the Bulldogs who travel well and beat the Tigers head to head in October.

GEORGIA BULLDOGS (6-2, 4-2)

The Bulldogs could strengthen their at-large case with a win over Auburn next weekend, but Saturday’s game at Kentucky is the first challenge to overcome. A team that looked to be a lock in the Peach Bowl as the SEC East champion last week, a loss to Florida muddied Georgia’s bowl picture.

FLORIDA GATORS (4-3, 3-3)

Despite having one fewer win, the Gators leaped ahead of Kentucky in the bowl pecking order after a possible season-changing win over Georgia. Florida beat the Wildcats earlier this season and will likely finish third in the division with wins over South Carolina and Vanderbilt. At 6-5 (thanks to the cancellation in the opener), Jacksonville would love to welcome the Gators back in what could be Will Muschamp’s final game.

KENTUCKY WILDCATS (5-4, 2-4)

Trending on a downward slope, Kentucky’s lost three straight games since dreams of a bowl destination in Central Florida came to light in September. A strong eight-win finish could send the Wildcats to Florida, but seven’s more likely with Charlotte (Belk Bowl) being the strongest possibility against an ACC team not named Louisville.

TENNESSEE VOLS (4-5, 1-4)

Sophomore quarterback Joshua Dobbs has breathed new life into Tennessee’s offense, providing a spark that’s led us to believe the Vols will go bowling this season. A 6-6 finish would be enough to get Tennessee to the Music City if Nashville really pushed for the Vols, the site of their last bowl trip in 2010.

SOUTH CAROLINA GAMECOCKS (4-5, 2-5)

The Gamecocks’ bowl hopes took a serious turn against Tennessee after South Carolina fell below .500 for the first time in November during Steve Spurrier’s tenure in Columbia. A 7-5 finish would be enough to get the Gamecocks to Jacksonville, but that’s not going to happen with road trips to Florida and Clemson remaining.

VANDERBILT COMMODORES (3-6, 0-5)

Vandy has to win out in Derek Mason’s first season to reach bowl eligibility, a long shot obviously. The Commodores have games against Florida, Tennessee and top-ranked Mississippi State remaining. Should Vandy pull it off, another trip to Birmingham’s the only destination available.
