As we reported earlier, Qatar-based news network Al Jazeera accused Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning of using human growth hormone (HGH), which is prohibited in the NFL since it is considered a performance-enhancing drug.

Manning told ESPN reporter Peter King he was so angry he would probably sue Al Jazeera for defamation.

His response to the accusations revealed his anger.

“It’s completely fabricated,” Manning said. “Complete trash, garbage. There’s some more adjectives I’d like to be able to use, but it really makes me sick.”

Al Jazeera alleged that Manning’s wife received the HGH for him so his name would not be on the receipt.

Since Manning is a public figure, it would be nearly impossible for him to win a defamation case. But his wife is not a public figure, and because she was brought into this by Al Jazeera, Manning’s plan may be to file the suit on her behalf.
