John Abraham recalls one of his favorite Lou Holtz stories during South Carolina Football Hall of Fame induction

The newest members of the South Carolina Football Hall of Fame were inducted this week and the Palmetto State welcomed quite the class this year.

Among the inductees this year was former standout Gamecock defender and NFL All-Pro John Abraham. Also inducted in the class this year were Clay Matthews Jr., Bruce Matthews, and former Georgia defender Richard Seymour.

During his appearance at his induction, Abraham told one of his best Lou Holtz stories. The former Gamecock coach led the team from 1999 to 2004 and helped lay the foundation for what Steve Spurrier would later provide in Columbia.

According to Abraham, Holtz may have often been a quiet leader but he knew had to make a statement with simple gestures. This story about Holtz from Abraham was particularly good. Video of the comments was posted by Sports Director for ABC Columbia Mike Gillespie:
