Soon it will be time to pass the torch.

Tennessee backup quarterback Quinten Dormady uploaded a tribute to senior Joshua Dobbs via Instagram on Sunday morning, thanking him for his leadership and friendship the last two years:

Dormady, a former four-star prospect from Texas, will compete with redshirt freshman Jarrett Guarantano and redshirt sophomore Sheriron Jones for the starting job under center in 2017.

In two years as a reserve behind Dobbs, Dormady completed 24-of-39 pass attempts for 357 yards and a touchdown.
