The bizarre story focusing around former Tennessee running back Jalen Hurd has taken yet another turn.

Hurd’s stepfather — Arthur Smotherman — went on a nearly four-minute rant discussing the status of Hurd.

Not only did Smotherman try to dispel any rumors about Hurd’s absences from games this year, but he also called out CBS broadcaster Verne Lundquist on multiple occasions.

In particular, Smotherman mentioned Hurd’s unavailability for the Texas A&M game was due to a concussion.

Suffice it to say, but there appears to be plenty of bad blood between Hurd’s family and the media.
