Whoops! Kentucky Governor prematurely tweets WKU victory
During the fourth quarter of the contest between Western Kentucky and Vanderbilt, Kentucky politician Matt Bevin took to Twitter…and was a bit click-happy. Bevin has since deleted the tweet but not before it could be screenshot:
Congrats to @WKUFootball on a solid win over @VandyFootball…Off to another great start to the season…Well done! #WeAreKY

The Hilltoppers had a slim lead in the final period over the Commodores. Although the game was not over, Kentucky governor Matt Bevin tweeted a congratulatory message for his in-state program.
However, this was rashly premature. Vanderbilt ultimately tied the game to send it to overtime. The Commodores then ended up winning the game by a score of 31-30.
Bevin may want to exercise a bit of self-restraint in the future when venturing into the realm of social media.
