Injured Florida starting quarterback Luke Del Rio was back to throwing during the team’s practice Wednesday, according to the Orlando Sentinel’s Edgar Thompson.

Del Rio has been out since experiencing a knee injury during the third quarter of the Gators’ 32-0 win over North Texas in Week 3. Earlier this week, the sophomore was listed as “highly doubtful” for Saturday’s game against Vanderbilt. Former Purdue transfer Austin Appleby started in his absence last week during Florida’s 38-28 loss to Tennessee.

Del Rio recorded for 762 yards, six touchdowns and two interceptions on 62 of 101 passing during his first three appearances. The sophomore also had a 140.42 passer rating and a 61.4 completion percentage.
