Give Nick Fitzgerald credit for being able to laugh at his own misfortune.

Of all the varied attributes Mississippi State’s star quarterback possesses, we can now add humor to the list. That and he also apparently plays Fortnite.

The online video game sensation was in a bit of panic mode recently as its servers had to undergo emergency maintenance beginning on Wednesday night, forcing all Fortnite: Battle Royale players to wait it out as the work continues to solve the issue. The game issued the following message to fans Wednesday evening following the discovery of the issue:

Here is Fitzgerald’s response, which pokes fun of his injury from last season’s Egg Bowl:

That’s an amazing response right there. The good news is Fitzgerald is already back on the practice field and working with his Mississippi State teammates in the transition to Joe Moorhead’s offensive system. While the senior quarterback has not been cleared for full contact as of yet, he is ahead of schedule in his rehab and is expected to make a full recovery for fall camp.

Oh, and the Fortnite servers are also back up for those still waiting to jump back on the game.
