LSU RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire is listed at 5-foot-8 and 209 pounds, so he’s no doubt heard a lot of people tell him what he can’t do. Against Alabama in a 46-41 victory, Edwards-Helaire showed what he could do.

Especially late in the game, with a bruising touchdown to help close it out, Edwards-Helaire, a Baton Rouge, Louisiana native, rushed for 103 yards and three touchdowns on 20 carries.

“I feel like my heart can’t be measured,” he told CBS Sports’ Jamie Erdahl after the game. “Always a lot of doubt, as far as us as a team, us as a state, and me personally, always be talked down on. Height, everything else. So being able to help my boys out, get a win for my team and my state is something unbelievable.”

Burrow said wins like this are why he decided to transfer to LSU.

“These are the games you look for, and you work so hard for,” Burrow said. “I thought I would be on this stage, I didn’t think I would be in this jersey though. It’s been a bumpy road, it’s been a long one, but I couldn’t be in a better place.”

Burrow deflected a question about the Heisman Trophy and whether a late draw by him was his “Heisman moment.” He said there are several more goals ahead, like winning the SEC Championship.

“This was never our goal, we’ve got bigger goals than this,” Burrow said.

Added Edwards-Helaire, “This is amazing. Can’t wait to get back home.”
