Colin Cowherd discussed the season of New England Patriots rookie quarterback Mac Jones and what his potential trajectory might be.

Cowherd made an interesting comparison between Jones and a current veteran quarterback who might not get the buzz that the bigger names around the league receive but is still getting the job done.

“It reminds me a lot about Ryan Tannehill. We never talk about Ryan Tannehill. Look how bad the Miami Dolphins since he left,” he said on Thursday. “With Tannehill they were always about .500. It was quite an accomplishment. Ryan Tannehill, since he got to Tennessee, has won more games than any quarterback except Aaron Rodgers.”

He stated that Jones would be able to win many games in the league since he was aware of his limitations and has shown the ability to play mistake-free football more often than not.

“Mac Jones is never, ever going to be beloved by the media.” Cowherd said. “Brett Favre was always more quotable than Tom Brady, he was more fun to watch than Tom Brady. Brady’s so much better than Brett Favre, but Favre was everybody’s favorite quarterback…Mac Jones is not quotable, he’s not exciting, and there’s not going to be a lot of ‘wow’ moments.”
