Bryce Young is in the middle of a week-long media blitz between award ceremonies and other accolades coming off the SEC Championship Game, most notably the Heisman Trophy ceremony on Saturday.

Young is the third straight Alabama quarterback to be named a Heisman finalist, but he said his appearance is a team-oriented recognition.

“It’s everyone around me,” Young said on The Paul Finebaum Show. “It’s the coaching staff putting me in situations to be successful. So it’s a reflection of all those around me, and I’m just blessed to be in the circumstance that I am.”

About teammate Will Anderson Jr., the star linebacker, Young said it was disappointing that Anderson couldn’t join him in New York, and said Anderson deserved it by way of his production, and if you simply “turn on the tape. To see the impact he’s had on games, each and every game.”

For himself, Young said being invited to New York is a blessing and a huge honor.
