Columbia (Mississippi) standout Jaheim Oatis took visits to Ole Miss and Mississippi State in June, but the 4-star defensive lineman is sticking to his Alabama commitment.
Oatis addressed his recruitment with Langston Newsome of the Clarion Ledger.
“I’m going to stay with Alabama,” Oatis told Newsome. “But Mississippi State and Ole Miss really stand out to me. It’s my hometown.”
Newsome reports that Oatis plans to enroll early at UA.
Listed at a massive 6-4, 370 pounds, Oatis is rated the 247Sports Composite’s No. 2 Mississippi recruit, No. 7 defensive lineman and No. 55 prospect overall in the class of 2022. Oatis also has scholarship offers from Arkansas, Georgia, LSU and Texas A&M.
Oatis announced his commitment to Nick Saban’s program on April 14. He visited an MSU camp on June 4 and took an official visit to Ole Miss on June 23.
