Alabama fans can circle A-Day on their 2023 calendars. The Crimson Tide will hold its annual spring football game on April 22, the school announced Thursday.

A-Day will serve as the culmination of the 15 allowed practices during the spring period.

Nick Saban’s UA squad is coming off of an 11-2 showing in 2022, capped by a blowout win over Kansas State in the Sugar Bowl. While 11 wins and a New Year’s Six bowl victory would be celebrated at most programs, Alabama will be determined to bounce back from a 2022 season without a title.

All eyes will be on the quarterback position when the 2023 Crimson Tide takes the field as UA will have a new QB1 following Bryce Young’s departure for the NFL. Jalen Milroe saw action this season as Young’s backup and made a start against Texas A&M when Young was out due to injury. Ty Simpson, a former 5-star recruit, will be entering his second season with the program. Alabama signed a pair of 4-star quarterbacks, Eli Holstein and Dylan Lonergan, during December’s Early Signing Period.
