Bo Scarbrough is getting another NFL opportunity. The Las Vegas Raiders announced Friday that they have signed the free-agent former Alabama running back. Scarbrough joins Josh Jacobs, Kenyan Drake and the recently-signed B.J. Emmons as former Bama ball-carriers now with Jon Gruden’s squad.
Scarbrough enters his fourth professional season. For his career, he has played in seven games, logging 95 carries for 408 yards and a touchdown.
After three seasons at Alabama (2015-17), Scarbrough was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the seventh round (236th overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft. As a rookie, Scarbrough did not make the Dallas active roster out of camp but was signed to the team’s practice squad that September.
After an October 2018 release, Scarbrough landed on the Jacksonville Jaguars practice squad. Later that year, Scarbrough was signed by the Seattle Seahawks.
Scarbrough made his NFL regular-season debut with the Detroit Lions in 2019. He played in six games, starting five, rushing 89 times for 377 yards and a TD.
Scarbrough went back to Seattle in 2020, playing in one game, recording 6 carries for 31 yards.
