Alabama flips 4-star Florida State commit
Four-star safety Daniel Wright (Boyd Anderson HS / Fort Lauderdale, Fl.) announced moments ago his decision to de-commit from Florida State and become the newest member of Nick Saban’s No. 1-ranked 2017 recruiting class.

Wright, who had initially committed to the Seminoles back in June, took an official visit to Tuscaloosa on Nov. 12 and in turn received a personal visit from Saban earlier this week.
It looks like that did the trick.
According to 247Sports, Wright (6-foot-1, 190 pounds) is the No. 15 safety in his class. He joins a superbly talented group that features 13 other four-star players and a quartet of five-stars, but becomes the first addition at his position.
In others words it means I will take my talents to UA and ride the pine for 3to 4 years
Why would these kids keep doing this, they Bama is loaded and you’re right all they’ll do is go there and ride the pine.
These guys want to be the best and play for the best coach at the best school. If they are the best, they play. If not, they transfer. You never know how far you can go if you take the easy way
I don’t think bama is loaded at Safety or even had one committed before this kid…. Word is saban really thought he had a shot at JaCoby Stevens,,, but after finally realizing that ain’t happening had to go find another kid to flip..
Yeah, he has a shot to be just like all the other true freshmen that don’t play for Nick Saban, like Jalen Hurts, Jonah Williams, Miller Forristall, Trevon Diggs, Josh Jacobs, Mack Wilson, BJ Emmons, Anfernee Jennings (13 games), Deionte Thompson (12 games), Terrell Hall (9 games), Raekwon Davis (7 games), Shy Carter (7 games), Jared Mayden (4 games), Aaron Robinson(13 games), Keaton Anderson (13 games). And let’s not forget last year, when we certainly didn’t play guys like Calvin Ridley, Ronnie Harrison, Minkah Fitzpatrick, Bo Scarbrough, Damien Harris, Hale Hentges, or Da’ron Payne.
And how about how Nick snubbed Cyrus Kouandjio, Cam Robinson, Dee Milliner, Rolando McClain, CJ Mosley, Mark Ingram, Mark Barron, Dont’a Hightower, Trent Richardson, Courtney Upshaw, Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, Amari Cooper, Landon Collins, Reggie Ragland, A’shawn Robinson, TJ Yeldon… I mean, the list of true freshmen that Nick didn’t play in their first year is just staggering.
Yeah, Nick never plays true freshmen. Nope, never. And don’t get me started on the redshirt freshmen that didn’t get to play either…
(sarcasm aside: it’s absolutely ludicrous that people still think that recruits aren’t going to play right away under Nick Saban. If they earn a spot, they earn it, especially on special teams. I’d bet good money that ANOTHER true freshman will start at OT for us next year, making that the 3rd in 4 seasons. And I’d also bet good money that Najee Harris and Jerry Jeudy see the field a lot, at a minimum from this class. )
