Even bowl officials gave up on Michigan State in the third quarter
Do you want to know how to tell when things are over for your team at the College Football Playoff?
When the people in charge of handing out the winning team’s t-shirts decide it is time to start destroying the evidence of an alternative version.
According to a Tweet from ESPN’s Brett McMurphy, that could’ve started happening for Michigan State at some point in the third quarter of Alabama’s 38-0 rout of the Spartans:
At end of game, officials were passing out Bama’s winning T-shirts. I asked for a MSU T-shirt. “We probably destroyed them in 3rd quarter"

While there’s a really good chance that was just a joke made in good fun, it is a reminder that somewhere there will be someone wearing a shirt indicating that Michigan State won the football game.
That’s why just like you can’t always believe what you read on the internet, you also cannot believe everything you read on a t-shirt. Crazy world, right?
