Known for having some of the best running backs in recent college football history, Alabama enters the 2017 season with potentially the deepest backfield of the Nick Saban era in Tuscaloosa.

The Crimson Tide return over 2,500 rushing yards from the running backs on the roster as Damien Harris (1,037 rushing yards, two touchdowns), Bo Scarbrough (812 rushing yards, 11 touchdowns), Josh Jacobs (567 rushing yards, four touchdowns) and BJ Emmons (173 rushing yards, one touchdown) all return this season. The unit will also be aided by the additions of five-star signee Najee Harris and four-star signees Brian Robinson Jr. and Chadarius Townsend.

When you throw in the 954 returning rushing yards from quarterback Jalen Hurts, there’s currently no shortage of rushers on Alabama’s roster. Not only do the Tide’s ball carriers get it done in terms of production, they have accomplished their lofty totals in impressive fashion.
